Camp

Rules of Operation

Dear Parents,

Thank you for choosing us. Rest assured that we will do our best to meet your expectations. In order to succeed, we ask for your help. Therefore, please read the following carefully:

The camp "Xeniasto Melissi" offers pleasant hospitality, such that to provide happy holidays combined with a modern pedagogical concept.

Our goal is the hosted campers, to live days of joy and carefreeness, along with the acquisition of basic timeless values, which will protect their personality and character.

Our camp accepts children from the age of five (if they can be self-sufficient) up to sixteen years old, who should not suffer from a contagious or mental illness or other serious problem that puts themselves or other children at risk of illness or bodily harm.

The camp, after the suggestion of the leader and the approval of the administration, has the right to request the removal of a child if it is judged misbehaving and creates problems or safety issues in the residence of either himself or the other children. Examples include: aggressive-antisocial behavior, refusal to participate and monitor the camp program, non-compliance of the camper with the rules of operation of the camp and the health protocols, etc.

Also, reasons for removing a child are the concealment from his parents, of a serious medical problem or their non-compliance with the rules of operation of the camp and the health protocols.

Our camp operates under the guidance of the Administration and the team of the Headquarters. Collaborators of the Headquarters are the community leaders and the special executives, who supervise and guide the team leaders.

Children are classified into groups and communities according to their age and gender. The Headquarters has the right to change teams for pedagogical reasons if it is deemed necessary.

Campers should have with them the necessary supplies that we list on the previous page but also anything else that facilitates them in the activities they love (musical instruments - table tennis rackets - balls, board games, books - magazines, etc.).

Possession and use of toys that endanger the physical integrity of themselves and other campers is not permitted. (eg laser devices etc.)

The nutrition program of the camp is common for everyone (campers and staff) and there is no possibility of providing special nutrition.

It is not allowed to store sweets, food of any kind and medicines in the personal belongings of the campers for reasons of safety, hygiene and cleanliness.

For safety and hygiene reasons, it is not allowed to enter the pet camp.

The use and activity of mobile phones, cameras and other devices by the campers is allowed under the responsibility of their parents. If the use of these devices affects the camp program or causes problems for other campers, the devices will be taken away from the camper and returned to his parents.

The camp is NOT LIABLE for the loss of items (mobile phones, jewelry, electronic games, money and others). For this reason, our suggestion is that campers should not bring with them items of great value and large sums of money. For the convenience of young campers, there is a children's bank in the camp where parents can hand over money for safekeeping and return it to the campers according to the parent's instructions.

Parents must have electronically completed the APPLICATION - CAMPAIGN CARD and the MEDICAL CARD and they are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide.

In case a camper is taking medication, the parents should ONLY deliver the medication to the camp doctor and of course inform him.

The doctor will inform the parents about serious medical events or illness of the children inside the camp. If the doctor decides that the child should leave the camp, the parents are obliged to comply with this instruction. Any costs for medicines and clinical treatment are borne by the camper.

The camp clinic provides first aid and is a short-term hospital, so the camp can not accept children with diseases that can not be cured.

Children participate in outdoor and off-campus activities (swimming, excursions, hiking, visits to archeological sites and museums or sporting events) provided they are planned by the Camp Leader and the parents state that they do not have a health problem that prevents them from participating. . Unless a written refusal is made by the parent to the Camp Secretariat, the parents are deemed to agree to their child's participation in these events.

Campers and executives can participate in photos and videos from camp life that are likely to be used for promotional activities and entertainment.

Telephone communication is made ONLY from children to parents.

For the better operation of the program and for pedagogical reasons, visits during the week to days other than those designated as visiting days and hours are not allowed.

The parents of the children are obliged to show the entrance card they received upon arrival at the camp.

In order for the child to leave the camp with permission or departure, the parents must show their police ID or have appointed another escort with a power of attorney certified by a Public Authority, who will have delivered themselves to the Secretariat of the camp or will sign it. before a competent official of the Secretariat.
